MLK-DEF support the Loudoun County Head Start Program by donating snacks for the program.
After 39 dedicated years in Education, Dr. Pamela Croft retires from Tuscarora High School after service as the
first African-American high school principal in Loudoun County.
MLK-DEF presented her with a award for Excellence in Education and an award as the first female black American, high school, principal and Loudoun County Public School.
The MLK Committee participated in the unveiling of the 44th President of the United State, President Barak Obama. The event took place at the Douglass Community Center in Downtown Leesburg, VA on June 17 @12:30PM.

Let us congratulate Lena on her appointment as Chair of the Student Conservation Association (SCA) Board of Directors on April 1, 2025.
"SCA is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for youth and adults. Program participants protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces across the country. "

On February 1, 2025, Tuscarora High School will be hosting a HBCU college fail for aspiring collegians. The fail will take place from 10:00AM - 2:00PM.

Dr. King Day of Service, January 20, 2025, 34th Annual March and Celebration... Out foundation led collections from the community and delivered over 400 pounds of donations targeting whole grain breakfast cereals and clothing to benefit Mobile Hope charity of Leesburg.
On December 11, 2024, the MLK-DEF provided food and goods to a local church.
