MLK Diversity-Engagement Foundation (MLK D-E F) was recognized on April 16, 2024 by Loudoun County Board of Supervisors’ Chair Phyllis Randall “Voice For A Cause” Report. Voice for a Cause is Chair Randall’s initiative to recognize a local nonprofit organization for their hard work serving Loudoun citizens. Each Monthly Board Meeting Chair Randall selects an organization to spotlight.

On June 2, 2024, MLK-DEF visited Morningside Hours of Leesburg. It was a full day of service with gift bags from MLK-DEF and youth; cards from MLK Youth, Providence Baptist Church youth, and Tuscarora High School Clubs; highlighted with a visit from the MLK-DEF Chair, and youth from Providence Baptist Church as well as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
On May 24, 2024, 70 books were donated by a local author through MLK Committee Member Valerie Austin for future literacy event give-aways.
